Survey on the impact of COVID-19 on higher education teaching in Europe

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced universities, which are still largely analog, to rethink their teaching practices: "The Covid situation was definitely a challenge in which we had to reorganize our lives and our teaching habits. At the same time, we had the opportunity to test new teaching formats which we can use in the future" explains ECDF professor Andrea Cominola, Principal Investigator of the ide3a project.

ECDF professors and PIs Andrea Cominola, Sangyoung Park, Jochen Rabe, Paul Uwe Thamsen and ECDF board member and speaker Odej Kao and the respective research groups developed a Europe-wide survey to assess the impact of COVID-19 on university teaching in Europe. "With this survey, we want to create an overview of which teaching formats students and teachers in Europe would prefer or plan to maintain after the pandemic and which circumstances influence these attitudes and preferences," explains Margaux Huth, research assistant at ide3a.

The results of the survey will serve as a basis for various teaching formats in the ide3a project and support accompanying research, one of whose goals is to promote the international mobility of students.

If you have any questions about the survey or the project, please contact Prof. Andrea Cominola (andrea.cominola@tu-berlin.de) or Margaux Huth (ide3a Research Assistant) (m.huth@tu-berlin.de).
