The ECDF has a new managing director: Bettina Liedtke has been in charge of the ECDF office at the Robert Koch Forum since May 1, 2024. Bettina Liedtke has been working at TU Berlin for 17 years, most recently as Head of Project and Research Management at the Continuing Education and Research Center (ZEWK).

Bettina Liedtke studied at the TU Berlin and at the University of Aberdeen, where she was also a DAAD lecturer for five years. In 2007, she returned to TU Berlin, followed by positions in Faculty IV Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Student Services Department and the President's Office, before moving to the Continuing Education Department in 2022. She has a clear vision for the second funding phase of the ECDF: "There are so many innovative interdisciplinary research projects by excellent young national and international researchers at the ECDF and throughout Berlin - we should definitely continue to strengthen their networking and visibility. To this end, it is crucial for me to communicate results and new developments even more strongly to society," she emphasizes.
