Open-Access-Days 2023

As part of the Open Access Days, the satellite conference "Science-led Open Access Publishing" will take place on 26 September 2023 at the Institute of Library and Information Science (IBI) of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The focus will be on current challenges for publication infrastructures in academic sponsorship. ECDF Professor Heinz Pampel is a member of the programme committee.

The conference will provide space for the discussion of current issues surrounding these infrastructures. In particular, the conference aims to identify points of intersection between different initiatives and to open up different perspectives on science-driven open access publishing. Prior to the event, a thesis paper on the future of science-driven OA publishing will be formulated and presented at the event and discussed with the participants. Within the framework of 10-minute presentations and subsequent discussions of equal length, the focus will be on impulses for further development and solution orientation.

The event is designed for about 100 participants, registration will be organised on a first-come-first-served basis. The conference will take place from 11:00 to 17:00 and will be held in German and in English There will be no registration fee, registration is possible here. The conference team can be reached at the following email address: events-infomgnt-ibi@lists.hu-berlin.de
