Panel discussion: “Digital Sovereignty”

As part of a panel discussion at the Einstein Center Digital Future, the Advisory Council for Consumer Affairs (SVRV) presented State Secretary Gerd Billen with its report on “Digital Sovereignty”. The report deals with the question of how to strengthen consumers in their digital freedom of choice, selfdetermination, self-control and security. The panelists were Gerd Billen (state secretary at the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection), Professor Dr. Rüdiger Weis (Beuth University of Applied Sciences), Walter Palmetshofer (Open Knowledge Foundation Germany) and Carolin Silbernagel (betterplace). The discussion was chaired by Professor Dr. Gesche Joost (Berlin University of the Arts / ECDF Executive Board).
