On July 3rd, 2023, ITG and Plattform - Charité Versorgungsforschung invite you to the Einstein Center Digital Future in Berlin to the workshop "Digitalisation of healthcare for older people".

Due to demographic change, the health care system is faced with the great challenge of ensuring good health care for older people. Due to an increase in the number of older population groups over 70 and 80 years of age, as well as a growing shortage of skilled workers and a simultaneous reduction in the number of people paying contributions into the social insurance system, it is no longer possible to continue providing the same level of healthcare as before.

Digitalization offers the chance of patient-centred and economically effective care processes. Scientists from informatics and health care research will discuss concepts, approaches and ideas for the future at the workshop at the ECDF. The Keynote Lecture will be given by Prof. Dr. Eva Grill from the Institute of Medical Information Processing Biometry and Epidemiology at LMU Munich. Accepted submissions will be made openly available as extended papers following the workshop.
