On December 08 and 09, 2022, the German government invites to the Digital Summit under the motto "Data - Creating Digital Value Together". This year, the ECDF is represented by Prof. Dr. Michelle Christensen. On December 09, she will discuss on the panel "Data.Power.Creativity!? Data as an asset or a challenge for democracy", she will discuss how, in an environment characterized by platforms and large digital corporations, the diversity of offerings and the services of culture and media that are essential for a democratic society can be ensured and made visible. Christensen will be joined on the panel by Claudia Roth, Minister of State for Culture and Media, Karin Immenroth, Chief Data & Analytics Officer, RTL Germany, and PD Dr. Martin Andree, media scientist specializing in digital media, University of Cologne.
