Hall of Fame: The Einstein Center Digital Future Honors Outstanding Contributions
07.10.2026
The Einstein Center Digital Future (ECDF) has established a Hall of Fame to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the center. At the general meeting on October 6, 2026, Odej Kao, initiator and spokesperson for the ECDF’s board of directors from 2017 to 2023, as well as Johann-Christoph Freytag, Gesche Joost, and Jochen Schiller, members of the founding board, were added to the Hall of Fame. Previously, Christian Thomsen, former president of TU Berlin and also an ECDF initiator, had already been honored, as had Michael Jänichen as a representative of Berliner Sparkasse, which has been a continuous donor since the center’s founding.
The gallery will be located on the first floor of the Robert Koch Forum starting November 1. A separate nameplate will be installed for each person honored, and the honorees themselves will receive an additional nameplate. “The ECDF is supported by many dedicated individuals across academia, politics, and economy. With the Hall of Fame, we want to display this support right here at the House of Digitalization,” said Tabea Flügge, co-spokesperson for the ECDF.
