The launch of the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung – Kolleg für Informatikdidaktik (CZS KID) marks a significant initiative for the future of computer science education in Germany. Representatives from academia, politics and society will gather at the ECDF for the inaugural event to discuss the importance of computer science education, current challenges and future prospects.
By funding a nationwide doctoral program, the Carl Zeiss Stiftung is making a long-term investment in the research and training of the next generation of scientists. In doing so, it strengthens computer science education as a key component of a future-proof education system.
This is an invitation-only event that combines academic insights, dialogue and networking, offering an initial glimpse into the work and objectives of the doctoral program.
