Sustain.ALL Digital Transformation Hackathon –
Co-Creating Sustainable
Innovation Solutions
The Sustain.ALL Digital Transformation Hackathon is organized as part of the Sustain.ALL Transformation Hub at TU Berlin in collaboration with the ECDF and other partners from practice and research. On July 1 and 2, students, as well as representatives from public administration, industry and academia, will come together in interdisciplinary teams to develop concrete solutions for topics such as sustainable campus development, climate action, circular economy and societal transformation.
While traditional hackathons often focus primarily on coding, this hackathon emphasizes the collaborative development of innovative, feasible and impact-oriented solutions. Participants will work on real-world challenges provided by partners from practice and research. Within two days, teams will create initial prototypes, concepts, visualizations, strategies and implementation plans. Workshops on innovation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and co-creation, along with mentors from academia and practice, will support participants throughout the development process. The event concludes on July 15, when the results will be presented in short pitches to a jury and the audience.
The event is aimed at students, researchers, university staff, startups, public institutions, companies, NGOs, and other interested parties in the fields of sustainability, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and social transformation. Since space is limited, participation is only possible after receiving a confirmation of registration.
The hackathon is part of the study reform module “Co-Creating Impact through Sustainable Campus Solutions” at the TU Berlin and views the campus as a living laboratory for sustainable transformation. Its goal is not only to generate new ideas but also to initiate concrete steps towards their implementation.
