The DiGENet junior research groups present their joint work in the special issue "Institutionalizing Gender and Diversity: Interdisciplinary Perspectives", published in the Open Gender Journal, an open-access academic journal dedicated to interdisciplinary research on gender and diversity. The event marks the release of the special issue and features a discussion with the editors on the ideas and debates that shaped the publication.

The special issue brings together quantitative and qualitative perspectives on gender and diversity in academia. Its contributions address intersectional research methodologies, participatory approaches to knowledge production, the ethics of research involving marginalized groups and the archival silences surrounding sexual harassment in higher education. Bringing together four research groups, the issue examines how universities have taken up, negotiated and at times merely performed commitments to gender and diversity.
