Frontiers in DeFi 2026

The fifth edition of the international event series “Frontiers in DeFi” brings together researchers from finance, economics, computer science, law, practitioners, policymakers and innovators to discuss the latest developments and critical challenges in Decentralized Finance (DeFi). This interdisciplinary workshop seeks to unite researchers with a shared interest in decentralized finance. It will serve as a platform to discuss the opportunities, challenges and risks associated with DeFi, aiming to identify urgent research questions, encourage academic collaboration and lay the groundwork for future joint initiatives.

- Regulatory frameworks and policy design for DeFi
- Governance models and decision-making in decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs)
