The research project "SimRa – Safety" in bicycle traffic will be presented on June 15, 2019 at the Long Night of the Sciences (LNDW) at the Einstein Center Digital Future. Prof. Dr. David Bermbach (ECDF/TU Berlin) and his team are investigating how cycling can become safer in Berlin as part of the Citizen Science project. A smartphone app was developed to collect data on near misses. At the LNDW, the research team will present the first results. In addition, visitors can try out the app on site and register as testers.

On the Long Night of Science, more than 60 scientific and science-related institutions in Berlin and on Potsdam's Telegrafenberg offer insights into their research. The ECDF in Berlin-Mitte, Wilhelmstraße 67, is open for the first time at the LNDW from 5 p.m. to midnight.
