Drive Innovation in Leakage Detection: Survey for Water Utility Experts

A new survey from ECDF board member Andrea Cominola, Professor of “Smart Water Networks” at Technische Universität Berlin, invites professionals working in water utilities to share their perspectives on leakage management. The goal is to gather practical insights that will directly influence the development of an online software solution designed to improve the early detection and localization of water leaks. Feedback from utility professionals will play a key role in ensuring the solution meets real-world sector needs.

The survey is part of the project iOLE (Intelligent onlineleak detection), a project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) under the “Digital GreenTech – Environmental Engineering meets Digitalisation” funding measure, within the “Research for Sustainability (FONA)” strategy. Water utility associations and networks are encouraged to share the survey with their members. Organizations that support the distribution will be acknowledged on the project website and invited to participate in a follow-up exchange.
