Streaming services, video calls, cryptocurrency - the digital transformation is in full swing and affects everyone in all areas of life. In the second edition of "One Room - Four Perspectives" on October 28, 2021, panelists from science, business, politics and civil society will discuss the digital transformation and its interaction with people and the climate.

While a video call can replace a business trip or two, electricity and resources for technical end devices are still incurred. In the midst of the climate crisis, the question arises as to how we want to use digitization socially: Why should sustainability and digitization no longer be discussed separately? What can we do to ensure that digitization itself becomes sustainable and proceeds in a sustainable manner? These and other questions will be addressed by the participants in the panel discussion:

• Prof. Tilman Santarius, Professor of Socio-Ecological Transformation and Sustainable Digitalization at ECDF and Technische Universität Berlin.
• Ann Cathrin Riedel, theme manager for digitalization and innovation at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation

• Line Niedeggen, Spokesperson Fridays for Future Heidelberg

The event will be moderated by Katja Weber, journalist and presenter at Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb) and Deutschlandfunk Nova.
