After stops like the Social Science Research Center Berlin and the Berlin University of Applied Sciences, the exhibition "Berlin - Capital of Female Scientists" comes to the Einstein Center Digital Future. From May 15 to June 15, 2023, the exhibition will be on display in the foyer of the.

On 20 panels, extraordinary female scientists are presented who have shaped Berlin as a city and science location and continue to do so today. They are pioneers in their field and trailblazers for future generations of female scientists. They include Dr. Gesche Joost, ECDF speaker and design researcher at the Berlin University of the Arts, our associate member Juliane Siegeris, business information scientist and professor of software engineering at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences. The portraits also include Agnes Zahn-Harnack, who in 1908 was the first female student in the city to be officially enrolled, and Marlis Dürkop-Lepthin, who after 118 male predecessors was elected the first female president of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 1992.

The initiative for this exhibition came from experts at the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) and the then Governing Mayor of Berlin, Michael Müller, as part of Knowledge City Berlin 2021.
