Prof. Dr. Philipp Staab (Einstein Center Digital Future) and Dr. Florian Butolla (Weizenbaum Institute) will jointly host the symposium on "The Global Political Economy of Digital Capitalism" on October 31, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m..

Nick Srnicek will speak on "AI and the Global South". He is a lecturer at the Department of Digital Humanities at King's College in London and author of the book "Platform Capitalism".

Yu Hong teaches at the College of Media and International Culture at Zhejiang University. She has written the book "Networking China - The Digital Transformation of the Chinese Economy". At the symposium in Berlin she will speak on "China and the Global Political Economy of AI".
