Roundtable: Health Data Sharing for AI

On March 24th, ECDF professors Felix Biessmann (professor for data science at the BHT) and Daniel Fürstenau (professor for business administration at FU Berlin) will hold a roundtable called "health data sharing for AI". They will discuss some of the challenges and potential solutions with a focus on technical aspects and empirical evaluations with experts in the field. Data sharing is a prerequisite for innovation, especially in the healthcare sector. Sharing patient data responsibly and safely is challenging, as it requires careful trade-offs between the utility of shared data and the protection of patient's privacy. Throughout the past decades, many solutions and initiatives addressing these challenges have emerged, including but not limited to distributed data storage, secure processing environments, or synthetic data.

The event will start with short impulse talks hiighlighting experiences in data sharing in AI, with a focus on nursing care in two research projects, namely KIP-SDM and ProKIP, part of the BMBF funding line KIP. The aim is to promote innovative AI solutions for health care. Afterwards, there will be moderated roundtable discussions. Please find the preliminary agenda below:
