On February 26, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Bündnis Zukunftsbildung will host a parliamentary evening on the future of education at the ECDF. The aim of the event is to facilitate an exchange between young people and policymakers. The event will be opened by Karola Knuth from the federal executive board of BUNDjugend and Martin Kaiser, executive director of Greenpeace. Invited experts include Stephan Albani (CDU) (invited), Jasmina Hostert (SPD) (invited), Dr. Anja Reinalter (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) and Maren Kaminski (Die Linke). The event invites participants to an interactive panel discussion on future-oriented education with the education policy spokespersons of the democratic parties, placing the perspectives, concerns and ideas of young people at the center. Three discussion rounds of 30 minutes each are planned, addressing the following questions:

  • How can young people actively shape democracy and what role does education for sustainable development (ESD) play in this?
  • What role do we want AI to play in education, particularly against the backdrop of global crises?
  • How can we shape future-oriented education now?

From 8:00 pm onwards, refreshments will be provided, along with time for discussion, questions and networking opportunities.
