Lunch Talk: Diversity in Health Data with the Diversity Minimal Item Set

How can diversity in health data be made more visible? On June 16, 2025, the Gender & Diversity Network of the ECDF invites you to a lunch talk with Prof. Dr. Gertraud (Turu) Stadler, Professor of Gender-Sensitive Prevention Research at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The event will take place from 12:00 to 14:00 and will focus on the Diversity Minimal Item Set.

The Diversity Minimal Item Set is a project on the topic of “Capturing Gender and Other Dimensions of Diversity in Germany”. For innovative and inclusive healthcare, it is essential to make diversity visible in health data. The Diversity Minimal Item Set (DiMIS) aims to support the regular and standardized collection of data on gender and other diversity domains. The goal is to close systematic data gaps and to use this information to foster innovation, inclusion, and change towards more diversity-sensitive science and practice.
