On 13th September 2024, the Calliope Day is taking place at the ECDF. From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. everyone who is interested as well as specialists from the educational sector from different areas of Germany can come together to network, exchange ideas and discuss the status of applied computer science in the education system. In lectures, discussion rounds and workshops, news about the Calliope mini, possible applications and teaching materials are presented and tried out. In addition, the current status of the compulsory subject of computer science in Germany will be adressed. With the Calliope mini, a mini controller that can be used from the 3rd grade, children can take their first steps in programming at elementary school.
