Bits und Bäume: Artificial intelligence for sustainable development

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT?

September 10, 2019, 4 - 7 p.m.
in the Einstein Center Digital Future
Wilhelmstrasse 67, 10117 Berlin, Germany

Artificial intelligence (AI) is currently on everyone's lips and raises many questions about economic policy, ethical, social and ecological expectations and implementation potential. We discuss fundamental aspects: What can AI contribute to the transformation of society towards sustainability? What are the application examples that enable the use of AIs for ecological or social objectives? What are policy options to ensure that AI applications serve the common good?

THE "FORUM BITS & BÄUME"
WORKSHOP FOR SUSTAINABLE DIGITALISATION

The "Forum Bits & Trees" follows on from the largest conference to date on the topics of digitisation and sustainability, which took place in Berlin in November 2018. The series of events offers a forum for networking politics, applied science and civil society from the tech and sustainability community and aims to develop proposals for action on how digitisation can be made sustainable.
